Asus launched FonePad for Rs 15,999

Asus has launched its new tablet  “FonePad” priced at Rs 15,999.It will be made available in the store in next couple of days. Asus with the help of Intel has come up with the world’s first Android –based tablet with  x86 architecture.

The tablet has 7”inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280x800 px.It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor with a PowerVR GC540 GPU.It has 1 GB of RAM for the breeze running of apps.

The FonePad is geared with a 3 MP rear camera along with 1.2 MP of front facing camera to record 720p video.It stocks with 16 GB of internal memory which is expandable upto 32 GB via microSD slot.It runs on Android  4.1 Jelly Bean.
Asus trying to be different than other tablets offers a micro SIM slot which comes in hand like a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. While other tablets have SIM slot to access 3G its not the same in Fone Pad which allows all phone facility making it a Phablet.

Asus FonePad also comes with many Asus productivity apps. It also provides its users with 5GB of free web storage for sharing data.
